CNEI Is CASN's Source for Online Learning

The Canadian Nurse Educators Institute (CNEI) incorporates all of CASN’s professional development opportunities under a Course Portal that supports scholarship and facilitates the growth of a national community of practice and learning.

  • Existing CNEI Moodle Course Portal users will have their accounts linked automatically through their MyCASN account - so long as the associated email addresses are the same.
    • Important: When registering for a MyCASN account, please use the same email address as your Moodle login. This is essential to ensure your accounts are properly linked and that you maintain uninterrupted access to the CNEI Course Portal.
    • Once logged into your MyCASN you will be able to Log In at the CNEI Course Portal. 
  • First-time users will be able to use their MyCASN login to create a new CNEI Moodle Course Portal account.
    • Register using your member school institutional email to access member benefits. Member benefits are available exclusively to representatives of CASN Member Schools. Membership eligibility will be verified using your institutional email address. CASN membership is held by institutions. All faculty, staff, and students are a part of CASN institutional membership.     • After logging in to MyCASN and registering for a course, you will be able to Log In at the CNEI Course Portal.

Artificial Intelligence and Authentic Assessment in Nursing Education

Description

Across four live online sessions, participants will build personal AI competency, explore the theoretical foundations of authentic assessment, examine a curated range of AI tools applicable to nursing education contexts, and collaboratively design or redesign assessment tasks suited to their own courses. Supported by Moodle-based resources, participants will leave with a personal toolkit of resources to build personal AI competency, sample assessment designs, and an evidence-informed approach to evaluating the impact of AI on student learning.
